THEORY TEST

The very best chance you have of passing the Theory Test is to study the Driver's Handbook. We encourage you to read the book 2 or 3 times. There is no substitute.  Knowing everything really well makes a big difference when attempting the test. The RAA on line practice tests are good but only really help if you have studied the book.

If you have trouble with the Give Way rules, then give us a call - we may be able to help with a clever little exercise, which really does work.

Make sure you have a current copy of the book as old editions may not have all the information you need to know.

8th Edition on sale now
Current as of 31/05/07

Reading and understanding the Driver's Handbook will help avoid the embarrassment of failing the Theory Test. It will also help you progress through practical lessons. Your Instructor will need to spend less time explaining road law and safe driving practices. More time can be devoted to practical things like driving and manoeuvres.

Much of the information in the Driver's Handbook is very good, useful stuff. Clients who have studied their handbook, generally take less lessons to become safe drivers.

Try discussing the contents of the book with other drivers (e.g. parents or friends). Test them for fun. Ask them about some of the facts and rules. See how much they know.
