DEFENSIVE DRIVING & OTHER COURSES

Your Drive Smart Instructor is a qualified Driving Instructor who has training and experience way beyond normal Instructor requirements.

This means you will be taught better and will become a better driver than most. It means you will understand what you are doing and why. You will be taught the way you learn best.

You won't simply be told what to do, then have to do it... you will be guided through the learning process, developing your own skills and knowledge. This means you will be much more likely to remember what you learn - for life!

Gravel Road Option

Australia has millions of kilometres of gravel and dirt roads. At some stage all drivers will be faced with driving on one. We can help you be prepared. Lessons will be of at least two hours and include:

Appreciating and respecting the difference between gravel and bitumen
Braking on loose surfaces
Experience on a wide variety of road types and surfaces
Understanding of sharing the road with others

Individual Defensive Courses are arranged by appointment, and tailored to your needs. Simple prevention strategies are taught to keep you out of trouble! You will also learn "Positive Driving" techniques that all drivers should know!

Our On-road Course uses real issues that make a real difference to how safely you drive. After an initial general driving session, you will be informally 'assessed' and then proceed with as little or as much training as required. This will also depend on how good you want or need to be (for example, if you are doing it for personal satisfaction, or as a work-place requirement).
